Norwich has been named England’s first UNESCO City of Literature due to its sparkling literate atmosphere. The town has rich libraries and book stores, busy cultural centres and a fantastic event scene. The University of East Anglia launched its creative writing programme in 1970 which attracts thousands of students from across the world. It organises an annual Literary Festival, which is now very popular across the whole country.
The unique initiative of the programme City of Stories aims to go deeply into the local culture, discovering the tales of different areas and people. The city takes pride of its authors such as WG Sebald and Anna Sewell.
Norwich is always busy of events, workshops and exhibitions, so the art is always available for everybody.
